ok you guys

Derpy is not gone. She is still in the show. Your shout-out remains intact. It is still more than what most fans of other cartoon shows get. Whether this whole thing is over Derpy’s potential offensiveness or because of legal issues, or both, it doesn’t matter. She is still there. And you, the fans, can refer to her as whatever name you’d like.

The fact that many of you are blaming a SINGLE PERSON over this and are sending them death threats is… wow I really have no words? Some of you guys are actually putting the “feelings” of a fictional character over the life of a living person, and fellow fan no less. You disagree with them? Fine. 

But as mentioned in the post I reblogged earlier,

Derpy is a cartoon character. She is a fictional horse.

She does not have feelings. But the folks you are sending disgusting messages and death threats to do.

I suppose the unfortunate thing is that I’m really not surprised by any of this.

And look, I know people are going to reblog this and say, “Oh those are just some overzealous fans!! They don’t represent all of us.” And you’re right, they don’t. But I have seen similar comments coming from a large chunk of the MLP community both before and after this happened.

There are some of you who need to sit back, reflect on this a little, and realize it is not as bad as you’re making it out to be. It really is not worth a petition or a “Save Derpy Week” or whatever the hell because SHE’S NOT GONE. SHE’S STILL THERE. WHO ARE YOU “SAVING”? Hasn’t Hasbro and Studio B been harassed enough about this? Just

stop.
